About

Corona Support Weston-super-Mare is a simple website built by Reece Coombes to help streamline information about Coronavirus to people in Weston-super-Mare.

During the first few weeks of the outbreak, there was a lot of panic-buying and many at-risk people weren’t able to leave their homes. This meant that most people couldn’t buy the essentials they needed, whilst others couldn’t even leave the house.

That’s why this site exists. We published, simple, digestible and localised information about charities, shops and people in Weston-super-Mare and helped people navigate the mass-panic.

Along with simple information about Shopping & Supermarkets, we published a directory of businesses remaining open which were selling/delivering food in addition to the supermarkets. Many at-risk people in Weston told us this service was a lifeline, enabling them to find healthy and good food without having to risk infection in one of the supermarkets.
